During this week, the Democracy for Development Institute held the closing conference “Challenges and opportunities: Members of Municipal Assemblies towards the implementation of initiatives”, within the project “Strengthening the participation of young people in political processes”, which is supported by the National Fund for Democracy (NED).

Since 2017, in addition to working with the central level, contributing to the electoral reform, supporting the central election commission, D4D has created bridges of cooperation with the young men and women of the political subjects, raising their capacities in recent years with councilors in the Municipal Assembly and with Youth Forums.

The conference concluded with the young councilors of the Municipal Assemblies, sharing the initiatives that have been directed to their Municipalities for the interests of the citizens, and discussed the benefits that have been obtained from these trainings and workshops and how they were applied in their journey in their political scene.
