The second round of small grants awards – Increasing Women’s Access to Employment Project

On Tuesday, 10 November 2020, a virtual meeting of the second group of small grant beneficiary organizations was held, within the project “Increasing Women’s Access to Employment” funded by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Pristina.

Grant recipient organizations are as follows:

1. Aureola Women’s Association – The aim of the supported project is to increase women’s participation in the labor market through information and skills training in the field of tailoring, textiles and design.

2. EkoKos Women – The purpose of the supported project is to increase the capacity of women producers and processors in the agricultural sector for the online market through trainings.

3. Frashnja Women’s Association – The aim of the supported project is to facilitate the work of women in greenhouses through the purchase of a motor cultivator.

4. LEDS Institute – The purpose of the supported project is to raise awareness of women to declare themselves unemployed in the employment offices in the municipality of Malisheva.

5. Global Shapers Community Prishtina – The aim of the supported project is to promote social entrepreneurship for the employment of girls and women.

6. Informal Group – Miranda Thaqi – Gashi & Co. – The purpose of the supported project is to strengthen the capacity of women to access the labor market by informing and providing training in soft skills, as well as advocacy at the municipal level for their employment.

7. RIKOTTA – Economic empowerment and capacity building of women in Prevalla and surrounding villages through the sharing of beehives and information about the cultivation and sale of honey.

D4D Institute will provide support and mentoring to beneficiary organizations during the implementation of their projects in order to build their capacities in the implementation of other projects which contribute to increasing women’s access to employment.
