20.06.2025

Rezarta Delibashzade-Krasniqi, Executive Director of D4D, shared civil society perspectives on strengthening electoral trust through inclusive voter education and public outreach. The conference has been organized from the State Election Commission (SEC) in North Macedonia, as part of the Electoral Support Programme of the Government of Switzerland, implemented by IFES, with the support of ODIHR and its project Support to Electoral Reforms in the Western Balkans.

She presented D4D’s extensive collaboration with the Central Election Commission and justice institutions, formalized through memoranda of understanding that reinforced transparency and institutional cooperation.

Highlighting innovative practices such as mock elections for youth, pandemic-safe “how to vote” videos, and targeted social media campaigns, she emphasized the importance of engaging diverse communities in the electoral process.

Also emphasized how civil society can serve as a vital bridge between institutions and the public, ensuring that voter information is both accessible and trusted. Presentation offered practical insights into how strategic, inclusive, and adaptable outreach efforts can promote meaningful democratic participation and public confidence in elections.
