Second Regional Meeting to Increase Women’s Access to Employment

The Democracy for Development Institute (D4D) and the Gender Alliance for Development (GADC) Center organized on July 29, 2020 the “Second Regional Meeting to Increase Women’s Access to Employment.”

Regional Committee “Increasing women’s access to employment” consists of Institutions from Kosovo and Albania.

Kosovo is represented by the institutions: People’s Advocate, Agency for Gender Equality Agency, Ministria e Punës dhe Mirëqenies Sociale (MPMS), Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, American Chamber of Commerce, Center for Policy and Advocacy, CIVIKOS, Iniciativa Kosovare për Stabilitet (IKS), Peer Educators Network (PEN), UN Women Kosovo.

Albania is represented by the following institutions: Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination, People’s Advocate, Ministry of Health and Social Protection, General Directorate of Health and Social Protection Policy and Development, National Council of Civil Society, Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, UN Women Albania.

The main purpose of this committee is to exchange information and recommendations on employment policies in both countries, to initiate and lead regional strategies and initiatives, which contribute to increasing the employment of women in both countries, Albania and Kosovo. The committee will also monitor the employment situation of women in both countries during the pandemic caused by COVID-19.

This activity was realized under the framework of the Regional project “Increasing women’s access to employment” supported financially by the Norwegian Embassy in Prishtina.
