Today we had an important conversation with a group of engaged parents in Mitrovica about the role of media literacy in schools, among them also with a teaching profession.
The main concerns raised by parents were clear:
- How can we protect children from the dangers and unknowns that lurk behind misleading online links and articles?
- The urgent need to update school subjects with new materials and books was highlighted, as the current ones do not match the digital life and the challenges that children face today.
Parents see media literacy not as an optional subject, but as an essential life skill to navigate the digital age.Part of the discussion was also the Verifiko.info platform as a practical tool for empowering young people in the digital world.
Thank you to all parents for sharing your valuable concerns and opinions!
