On October 9, 2026, Democracy for Development (D4D) organized the event “Empowering Youth for the Labor Market,” bringing together young people aged 18–29 for a day of inspiring success stories, practical training, and informative sessions.

Participants explored employment platforms and opportunities, heard firsthand accounts of the challenges and experiences of successful entrepreneurs in Kosovo, learned how to turn innovative ideas into viable business plans, and gained practical knowledge of modern digital marketing techniques to effectively promote their businesses online.

Rezarta Delibashzade Krasniqi, Executive Director of D4D, emphasized that young people have the potential and ideas to drive meaningful change but need practical experience, mentorship, and proper guidance to transform their ideas into concrete employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Shpëtim Kalludra, representing the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo, introduced Superpuna, an employment platform developed by the Government of Kosovo as part of its Youth Employment Guarantee scheme. The platform aims to facilitate young people’s access to the labor market while supporting businesses in hiring young employees.

Participants also had the opportunity to learn from the entrepreneurial journeys of Flandra Marmullaku from Data4X and Arta Shehu Azemi from evroTarget. Both speakers shared valuable insights into the challenges they faced while building their businesses, the lessons learned along the way, and practical advice for aspiring young entrepreneurs.

During an interactive training session, Ferid Murseli guided participants through the essential steps of transforming business ideas into structured and actionable business plans, helping them better understand how to develop and advance their entrepreneurial ambitions.

Meanwhile, Valon Canhasi introduced participants to effective digital marketing strategies and techniques, equipping them with practical knowledge to promote their businesses and reach their target audiences through digital platforms.

The event was organized by Democracy for Development (D4D) through the project “Innovate4Impact: Equipping Youth with Skills & Innovation for Market Access,” under the BOOST Balkans program, with financial support from ALDA Balkans and AFD – Agence Française de Développement.
