Following the first exchange held in Prishtina in July, the Democracy for Development Institute (D4D), through its project supporting the Assembly of Kosovo in inquiry committee proceedings and legislative drafting, organized a study visit to Bern. Representatives of the Assembly of Kosovo met with colleagues from Swiss institutions to deepen the exchange of experiences on drafting and harmonizing legislation across different languages.
Discussions focused on how institutions organize their legislative drafting work, the criteria for ensuring clarity and consistency in legal texts, and the use of terminology databases, digital tools, and translation and publication services. Participants also considered how Swiss experiences could be adapted to the Kosovo context, including the possibility of establishing a similar legislative drafting boy within the Assembly.

The visit continued the discussions initiated in Prishtina and created an opportunity to share knowledge and strengthen institutional cooperation, with the aim of improving the quality of multilingual legislation.
