Launch of reaction memo no. 3 – Set criteria for new municipalities

Democracy for Development Institute has launched reaction memo describing some of the criteria for new municipalities. Criteria for new municipalities should be applied, and in this short memo we drew inspiration by the legal framework of the Republic of Bulgaria. Despite the difference in the population size and area, as well as population density and ethnic composition, this approach would give Kosovo a reliable framework which would provide a solid foundation to built upon and adapt to our needs.

Reaction memos are brief papers of public policies with specific format (in form of a memo) which provides concrete recommendations to relevant stakeholders on a current issue. Reaction memos are two pages long and have the following composition: 1. Recommended action, 2. Issue, 3. Options, 4. Implementation, and addressed as a memo to specific officials.
