Within the project “Commitment in teaching of women affected by the COVID-19 pandemic” implemented by the Association of Little and Young Artists “Amadeus” has done the commitment of women teachers in additional education with the children of self-sufficient mothers. In this way both groups have benefited, the children of self-sufficient mothers and the teaching women, thus alleviating the material crisis caused by Covid-19. At the same time, the children also benefited, who during all this time have remained isolated and without proper activities and commitment.

The main goal of the project was to engage teachers, who transferred their knowledge to the children of self-sufficient mothers. These children were involved in attractive music lessons which gave them an opportunity to spend useful time. These genuine activities gave the children good knowledge as well as gave the mothers an overview that their children have a tendency to engage in musical activities in the future. Among other things, the teachers were stimulated with additional payment to alleviate the financial difficulties created during this time of the pandemic.

The Association of Little and Young Artists “Amadeus” was one of the beneficiary organizations of the small grant scheme awarded by the D4D Institute within the project “Addressing the Impact of COVID-19 on Women’s Rights in the Labor Market” supported by the Balkan Trust for Democracy.
