The principles of good governance and standards of transparency were presented during the information session, which this time was held at the Municipality of Gjilan, with the participation of municipal assembly members from Gjilan and Kamenica.
The primary aim of this activity was to provide practical information on the principles and standards of good governance, as well as to introduce the platform qeverismire.info – a tool that facilitates the work of local councilors and increases the transparency of municipal processes.
During the discussion with the municipal assembly members, it was emphasized that local governance should serve as a bridge between citizens and the government, and that municipalities should orient their policies and set priorities based on what is in the best interest of citizens. It was also highlighted that participatory budgeting has provided citizens with the opportunity to be involved in the decision-making process.
