Democracy for Development Institute (D4D), on 23rd and 24th of September organized a two-day workshop about young voters’ education. During these two days, the young men and women from municipalities like Prizren, Gjakova, Peja, Kamenica, Ferizaj, Prishtina, South Mitrovica, North Mitrovica, Skenderaj and Gjilan, had the opportunity to learn and be trained about the democratic processes and participation in the elections. Participants were informed in detail about the electoral process in Kosovo, the electoral system, the role of Central Elections Commission (CEC), the role of Electoral Management Bodies (EMBs), the function of the local governance and the role of the political parties.

For all the workshop participants, we simulated the process of registering a political party, the electoral race of political parties, electoral campaign, elections day and the process of counting votes at a polling center.

This activity was held as part of the project “Vote for Democracy”, supported by the German Embassy in Kosovo.
