At the second meeting in Mitrovica, organized by D4D and the Center for Equality and Justice, it was emphasized that when women choose to engage in public life, they face numerous barriers and challenges – ranging from financial obstacles to derogatory language on social networks, as well as a lack of support and motivation. These factors discourage girls and women from active participation in public life, particularly in politics.

Participants underlined that genuine change requires social and educational policies, along with concrete support to ensure equal participation in decision-making.

This activity was carried out within the framework of the project “She Leads: Combating Hate Speech and Promoting Women in Local Leadership”, supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kosovo.
