D4D Institute organized an advocating roundtable for women participation in EMBs

Democracy for Development Institute (D4D) in collaboration with Universum College in Gjakova, organized an advocating roundtable with mayoral candidates for Gjakova municipality. The women inclusion increase in the elections management bodies (EMBs) was the topic of the discussion, during which the candidates Mimoza Kusari from Alternativa, Bekim Ermeni from LDK and Edmond Dushi from AKR, unveiled the measures that their political subjects took to include women in EMBs. During the roundtable D4D presented the findings and recommendations from “Manual for Gender Equality in the Electoral Process” that are addressed at the political subjects to increase the participation of women in all the phases of the electoral process and EMBs.

This roundtable was held as part of the project “Vote for Democracy”, supported by the German Embassy in Kosovo.
