Tuesday’s salons started again on September 5 in Podujeva on the topic: “Unequal employment: Do we have local policies to activate women in the labor market?”
Panelists in this salon were: Naime Podvorica, Officer for Gender Equality, Municipality of Podujeva; Janina Shala, Directorate for Economic Development and Shpend Sopa, NGO Ekovisioni. Panelists stressed that Municipality of Podujeva has not implemented any strategy on local level that would help activating women in the labor market. The only opportunity women have in this municipality is to apply for subsidies in agriculture that could help their employment.
