Part of the panel were: Rudina Nallbani, Program Coordinator at FES and Burim Ejupi, Executive Director of INDEP. This salon was moderated by Erjona Popova, Journalist, while the editorial on the topic will be written by Sanie Jusufi, journalist at Koha.net.

Seeing that green policies and investment in this regard is the future of every country in the world, during this discussion it was said that in this regard more needs to be done by both civic initiatives and relevant institutions.

Rudina Nallbani, from FES emphasized that in Kosovo there have been continuous investments in terms of the green agenda, mentioning the investments in the Prishtina heating plant. However, it was stressed that there is still no draft strategy and no intentions on what to do next for the green policies in the country. Energy and the environment are long-term policies and it is important that if we have delays in implementation it is important to implement them no matter how late. Also what was mentioned during this discussion is that it should be borne in mind that long-term policies are not preferred by governments because the results are seen late and what is important is to have data regarding the energy that policies advertise and it is an area that does the job as well. for various innovations.

Whereas, Burim Ejupi from INDEP, mentioned that Kosovo is in the process of developing green policies. Environmental policies are costly, in which case there is also a package of billions to invest. He stressed that the green agenda includes five main points, mentioning E in Kosovo the main polluters are power plants. Car industry and transportation. So when it comes to energy in Kosovo, power plants are the main thing and what should be mentioned is that we do not have environmental strategies and we lack implementation.
