Empowering Communities: The Importance of HPV Vaccination Awareness was the topic discussed at Tuesday’s Salon, which was held on the 31st October 2023.
In order to discuss this topic, three panelists were invited: Izet Sadiku, Director of the Directorate of Health in the Municipality of Pristina, Fatmire Kollçaku, Chairperson of the Committee for Health and Social Welfare in the Assembly of Kosovo and Fetije Fetaj, Head of the Expanded Program of Immunization, IKSHPK. The salon was moderated by Bujar Vitija, Editor-in-Chief at Shneta Newspaper.
During this salon it was discussed the importance of vaccination against HPV and its promotion in all institutions and social groups that have an impact on the awareness of citizens about vaccination. It was emphasized that the calendar planning of the vaccination was done according to the recommendations, and includes sixth grade girls (age group 11-13 years).
