Between Continuity and Change: Russian Influence and Security Challenges in the Western Balkans Since the War in Ukraine

“Between Continuity and Change: Russian Influence and Security Challenges in the Western Balkans Since the War in Ukraine”, was the topic discussed at Tuesday’s Salon, which was held on the 14th of November 2023.

In  order to discuss this topic, four panelists were invited: Jeta Loshaj, Consultant on International Security at FES Kosovo Office, Harun Cero, Regional Project Manager at FES; Jeton Zulfaj, Political Advisor at Prime Minister’s Office and Enver Hoxhaj, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Kosovo. The salon was moderated by Adelina Hasani, Researcher at Kosovar Center for Security Studies.

During this salon, findings of a political brief drafted from  Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, which will be launched soon were presented, which includes, an analysis of the security challenges facing the Western Balkans as a result of the Russian occupation of Ukraine. In this case, the panelists expressed their views and contributed with additional recommendations.
