The gender composition of the electoral lists of political entities remains only in compliance with the quota!
The unequal representation of men and women in the electoral lists of the four main entities for the parliamentary elections of February 9, 2025, shows that only the minimum legal requirement for the inclusion of women has been met. As long as women are not represented by 50%, the commitment to gender equality remains weak.
Political entities should not stop at the required minimum, which reflects a lack of will to represent half of the population. The assessment and promotion of women in leadership positions should be a priority, beyond meeting a minimum standard.
