Parliament Elections 2014 vs 2017

13.07.2017

This infographic presents the comparison between parliament elections held in 2014 and 2017. As seen in the infographic, there is an increase of invalid votes by 2,757 votes in comparison to the elections of 2014. Moreover, there is also an increase in blank balots by 1,117 more than in the previous parliament elections.

Although the trend of invalid votes and blank ballots from one pair of elections to the other should decrease, in the early elections of 2017 this trend has had an increase. Some of the main reasons for this cause are: not-so-good training of commissioners, lack of education of the voters about how they should vote, and the weakened campaign of public information about the early elections of 2017.
