This year has been very busy with political developments for Kosovo’s society, and as a result it has brought a wave of online articles that have deepened political polarization and incited the use of hate speech on social media.

Based on D4D’s monitoring for the period December 2024 – November 2025, the use of hate speech is evident. From a total of 660,000 comments analyzed during this period, around 14% (approximately 90,000 comments) contained hate speech targeting women. It is important to highlight the forms of verbal attacks, derogatory comments, and online pressure that women experience, especially during election periods.
