Democracy grows stronger when citizens are informed, involved, and heard.
This video captures the highlights of “She Runs: Combating Hate Speech and Promoting Women in Local Leadership,” bringing together D4D’s work on citizen participation, women’s representation, and accountable local governance across Kosovo.
Project highlights include:
• Information sessions involving 136 participants across seven municipalities.
• Accessible information on local governance through Qeverismire.info.
• Ten editorials generating over 40,000 social media views.
• Infographics covering eight or more topics and generating over 1,600 social media interactions.
• Two research papers examining women’s participation in electoral processes and online hate speech against women in politics.
Thank you to all participants, contributors, and partners who made this work possible. The project ends, but our commitment to inclusive and accountable governance continues.
This video was produced as part of the “She Runs: Combating Hate Speech and Promoting Women in Local Leadership” project, implemented by Democracy for Development (D4D) and Center for Equality and Justice, supported by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Kosovo.
