Through discussions with municipal representatives, we looked at what stands in the way of more inclusive and accountable local governance and what can help move it forward.

From greater participation of women in public life and decision-making, to stronger citizen engagement and better access to public information, each municipality highlighted priorities for making local governance more responsive to the people it serves.
