Between September 13 and 18, a total of 32 cases of inappropriate language use on social media were identified from representatives of political entities in 14 municipalities of Kosovo. The majority were related to hate speech (22 cases), followed by disinformation and personal bullying with 4 cases each. Additionally, 2 cases of calls for violence, 2 cases of ethnic or religious attacks, and 2 cases of sexism and misogyny were recorded, along with 4 other cases categorized separately. These findings highlight the serious challenges facing political discourse on social media.
The monitoring was carried out across the platforms most frequently used by parties and candidates: official websites, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X.
