On 9 February, the topic of the Tuesday Salon was: ‘What should we do with the unfinished church in the centre of Prishtina?’
Opening remarks were delivered by: Shpend Ahmeti, Mayor of Prishtina, Joanna Hanson, New Perspektiva and Hajrulla Çeku, Executive Director at Ec Ma Ndryshe. Among others, during the discussion it was emphasized that since no one has applied in the Municipality of Pristina for the legalization of the church, this church is synonymous with the Milosevic regime. On the other hand, building the church at that location has been a direct attack on the emancipation of a society. But it is proposed that the church should not be ruined, in order to preserve the memory, what has happened.
