Today, on the 20th of March, 2018, D4D held a Salon in Drenas with the topic “Do existing mechanisms offer the possibility of reintegration of returnees?”
Panelists in the Salon were Anita Abdullahu – Dvorani, Director of Agriculture and Economic Development, Municipality of Drenas, Valdon Bytyçi, expert of local governance, Jeton Bujupi, advisor for employment, Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and Afije Veseli, official for reintegration and repatriation, Municipality of Drenas
Panelists, together with the participants, discussed on the problems with which returnees deal with and the possibilities that exist that enable their reintegration in their respective municipalities. The main focus of discussion was on the regulation for reintegration and repatriation, and the grants which are allocated for supporting their business ideas. Lack of effective communication between different actors causes problems in the process of reintegration, therefore it was recommended that the communication between key stakeholders should be enhanced.
