Parental leave contributes to gender equality

On 4 December 2017 the Salon in Mitrovica was held on the topic: “Parental leave contributes for gender equality”.

The informative and encouraging opening was made by: Rrustem Abiti, Kosovo Chamber of Commerce; Hajrullah Mustafa, Sociologist and Valbona Sadiku, entrepreneur. The panelists stressed the importance of the activity of women in the labor market at the same rate as men. For this to be achieved stakeholders should favor policies that allow equal sharing of responsibilities between parents. It is also important to know the two parents the right to parental leave so that you do not have to be forced to choose but to be part of the child’s development and growth.

This salon was moderated by Nerimane Ferizi and the editorial was written by Fahri Jashari, Forum for Civil Society – Mitrovica.
