Draft budget for 2017: Budget for development or political investment?

22.11.2016 D4D

On 22nd of November the Tuesday Salon was held under the topic: Draft budget for 2017: Budget for development or political investment?

The opening remarks for this salon were given by Agim Krasniqi, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Finance, where he stressed the importance of increasing the budget of 2017 from 1.7 billion to 2 billion. This increase comes as a result of fiscal stability that Kosovo had these past two years. It also will help increasing the capital investments in sectors that have been discriminated before. On the other side Bali Muharremaj, Member of the Parliament among AAK, on the Committee for Budget and Finance in the Assembly of Kosovo noted that the budget increase is not included in the budget categories. Taking credits and transferring money from the Trust would harm the citizens of Kosovo.

Moderation of this salon was made by Burim Ejupi – INDEP Institute. The editorial was written by Arian Lumezi, GazetaMetro.
