On Tuesday, April 5th, the topic of the Salon was: ‘Does art have a role in post-conflict societies?’

Opening remarks were delivered by: Vladimir Miladinovic, Artist; Albert Heta, Artistic Director, Stacion, Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina, Nita Luci, Lecturer, Department of Anthropology, University of Prishtina. Panelists stressed the political powers to a large extent have shaped different disciplines of art history, and the art that survived from the past today are here because the political powers have allowed it. So we can say that the history of art, the history of monuments and works is compatible with the political regime.

The salon was moderated by Arif Muharremi, journalist/researcher on arts and culture, and the op-ed was written by Vladimir Miladinovic, Artist.
