On Tuesday, February 14th the Tuesday Salon was held on the topic: “9 Years After: Have we reached the desired state consolidation?”
Informative and provocative openings were made by: Fatmir Sejdiu, former President of the Republic of Kosovo, who stressed that the consolidation of the state has not ended on the occasion of the declaration of independence and there is also no point at which it ends. This consolidation affects the three main pillars of the state that include the legal system, economic development and the establishment of democratic institutions. Ismet Kryeziu, Executive Director, Kosovo Democratic Institute said that the state of Kosovo within these nine years as an independent state is not in the point where it should have been, and this result is because of bad governance by our politicians. The consequences of tire and crime abuses have left many political processes in stagnation such as European integration.
This salon was moderated by Besa Shahini, Analyst, while the editorial was written by Allen Meta, D4D Institute.
