Democracy for Development Institute launched the “Indicators4Development” platform, a project supported by “Think Tank Fund of the Open Society Foundations and Balkan Trust for Democracy, a project of the German Marshal Fund”.

during the conference has been presented planes of Bosnje and Herecegovina for Open data and the support of Statistical Agency, since the platform has compare with countries as a component. Rezarta Delibashzade, presenter of the platform has highlighted that we will have healthy competition across countries and the opportunity to improve fields were are weak and to use as advocacy tool.

D4D has created a platform with 200 indicators on: economy, governance, rule of law and security, and social development, for Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, Macedonia and Montengro. The aim of the platform is to instigate competition among countries in the Western Balkans for performance of public authorities through the use of the platform. Our collection of data for standardized indicators for six regional countries would enable comparison of their performance thus encouraging political leaders to conduct deeper and faster reforms.
