
On May 14th, D4D held the Regional Conference “Empowered women-Empower women”, presenting the research findings with the same title, being the third regional research conducted related to women in labor market in the framework of this cooperation.
Part of the opening remarks were Rezarta Delibashzade Krasniqi, Executive Director at Democracy Development Institute (D4D) Ms. Artane Rizvanolli – Minister of Economy, Deputy Minister of Finance, Labor, and Transfers – Mr. Agon Dobruna and Ms. Edi Gusia, Chief Executive of the Agency for Gender Equality at the Office of the Prime Minister.
During the remarks it was emphasized the importance of women’s access to the labor market and and social awareness related to women’s contribution in the society in Kosovo and in the region.
The conference proceeded with the presentation of the main findings from the region of the Western Balkan countries, starting with Judita Krasniqi Hajdari- Democracy for Development Institute (D4D) Kosova, as the lead research organization, Kristijan Trajkosvki- Center For Research and Policy Making (CRPM) North Macedonia, Andela Lucic- Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognoses (ISSP) Montenegro, Jelena Kojashi- Gender Alliace for Development Center (GADC) Albania, and Svetlana Stefanovic- Foundation BFPE for Responsible Society, Serbia.
This conference is realized in the framework of the project “Untapping Development: Increasing Women’s Access to Employment” supported by the Norwegian Embassy in Prishtina.
