Youth and politics: How does youth view and evaluate politicans?

On Tuesday, June 27, in Drenas/Glogovac, a Youth Salon was held with the topic: “Youth and politics: How does youth view and evaluate politicans?”

The informative and provocative openings were made by: Xhavit Drenori, Member of Municipal Assembly of Gllogoc, who stressed that youth is not independent on how they see politicians’ because their progress depends on how close they are to politicians. Shyqyri Bytyqi from NISMA for Kosovo said that Kosovo’s youth represents the largest number of voters and as such have the opportunity to remove and place politicians in leading positions. Flutura Avdiu, Director of Culture, Youth and Sports, Drenas Municipality said that young people should engage in policy making not necessarily become part of the political parties in order to initiate their issues

This salon was moderated by Afrim Berisha, Project Manager, Institute for Democratization and Integration and the editorial was written by Alberina Rexha, Local Action Council in Gllogoc.

The youth salons are organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.
