The needs of youth in Gjilan, the lack of greater cooperation between the youth and the municipality, lack of proper information from the municipality, as well as the lack of interest by the youth to seek the information about the activities and the use of the “Youth Home” spaces, were the main focus of the discussion at Tuesday’s Salon.
Except the discussion about the current issues, during the discussion was also mentioned the plans for the future, where is expected to be created a sub-budget for subsidies by the 2019. This sub-budget is supposed to increase activities and to fulfill the needs of youth including the needs of pupils councils, student councils and civil society.
In the end of this discussion speakers recommended that young people should be more active, and increase their confidence in municipal institutions.
Part of the panel in this discussion was Genc Mustafa, head of the youth unit in the municipality of Gjilan and Fatlinda Daku, an activist from civil society. The moderation was made by Blerinë Ukshini, D4D Institution and editorial will be written by Alora Hyseni, Sbunker.
