How will society support the survivors’ of sexual violence related to the conflict?

The next salon was held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 with the topic: “How will society support the survivors’ of sexual violence related to the conflict?”

The informative and encouraging opening was made by: Minire Begaj, Commission for Recognition and Verification of the status of persons raped during the war; Petrit Çollaku, Association of Kosovo Journalists and Sebahate Pacolli-Krasniqi, Kosovar Center for the Rehabilitation of Torture Survivors. Panelists stressed that survivors of sexual violence still suffer the consequences of the past this time because of the family they consider to have lost the honor of the family. But everyone agrees that we should work to support them by enabling them to make the reparations they are going to do in the most confidential way.

This salon was moderated by Rozafa Kelmendi, UN Women and the editorial was written by Serbeze Haxhijaj Journalist.
