Tuesday Salon on December 6 was held on the topic: Are you a By stander or an Up-stander for Gender Equality?

Dardan Hoti, editor at Gazeta Metro, said that journalists should be careful of the space and reports on gender-related cases so they do not to glorify the perpetrators of violence. Also, the media should not use these news for clicks and business. Adelina Berisha, from Kosovo Women’s Network, said that gender-based violence has no justification and should not be justified. Reasons for financial status, alcohol or other excuses on the expression of violence should not be lawfully allowed. Jetmir Fejzullahu, of Be Man Initiative says that there needs to be more activities on the part of men to promote equal rights between genders. Men should not be the spectator but the greatest responders.
