On 27th of June 2017, the Tuesday Salon was held with the topic: “Politics, the art of filling accounts!”
Opening remarks were delivered by: Faton Mehmeti, Head of Corruption Prevention Department, Anti-Corruption Agency stressed that the declaration of property of senior state officials is a technically very difficult process. Also due to the limited competencies of the Agency, this declaration is not so credible and depends solely on the will of the politician. Petrit Zogaj, Executive Director, Lëvizja FOL said that this process is failing because it is on the will of the politicians in what they want to declare and the second has to do that this property is not verified. Even if entering the verification phase, the prosecution procedure does not happen at all.
The salon was moderated by Besnik Boletini, Journalist, Kosovar Center for Investigative Journalism Preportr and the op-ed was written by Enisa Serhati, Researcher, Riinvest Institute.
