Kosovo Youth is lobbying and supporting for gender equality?

On Friday, May 26th 2017, in Klina was held the Youth Salon with the topic: Kosovo Youth is lobbying and supporting for gender equality?

Panelists were: Vlora Tafili, Assembly Member of the Municipal Assembly of Klina, who stressed the difficulties she has to represent women in decision-making processes. This taking into account the very small number of women in high positions in institutions. Elbasan Racaj from Organization “Koha” stressed that youth in general still suffers stereotypes formed and taken by the family. Although they are much more supportive of gender equality, it is still the circle that does not advance the woman in society. While Heloina Elezaj, a youth representative, stressed the importance of youth to lobby in this direction. They have the opportunity to change the prevailing discourse for the future.

This salon was moderated by Vitore Zefi, Coordinator of Youth Center “Ardhmëria” and the editorial was written by David Preni, Student.
