06.03.2018 D4D

On Tuesday, the 6th of March, 2018 in Vushtrri the salon discussion with the topic of “Do existing mechanisms for reintegration of returnees?” was held

Panelists in the salon were Naser Hyseni, official at the Office for Employment, Violeta Cakaj, from the Red Cross in Kosovo, and Xhavit Mehmeti, executive director of FODEM NGO. The panelists voiced their concerns, as with lack of decentralization there is lower possibility for effective and sustainable reintegration. Further the discussion unveiled that the main problems in reintegration are: lack of availability and accessibility to information, and the changes that happen without notice to the criteria and ways of applying for different schemes. Recommendations entailed advancing cooperation between key actors, launching campaigns that ensure the right information is displayed, and further decentralization.
