On October 4, the salon was held on the topic: Where do citizens learn about active citizenship?

The informative and provocative opening was made by: Nora Hasani – Llapashtica, a journalist and activist who said that for a developing society like Kosovo the presence of active citizenship is even more critical, given the transformative role that would enable the presence of a genuine democracy. Besa Luci, editor in Kosovo 2.0, emphasized that active citizenship means involving individuals in their local communities and in democracies at all levels, ranging from village, city to nationwide activities. Rinor Qehaja, a professor and director of the EdGuard Institute, said that the current education system in Kosovo is not giving a sufficient theoretical basis on active citizenship to primary and secondary school students, but fails to translate that theoretical basis into practical practical experience .

This salon was moderated by Dardan Berisha, while the editorial was written by Nart Orana, a new researcher.

Editorial of the salon is written in the Albanian Language and can be read here.

This salon was organized in cooperation with KCSF and supported by OSI.
