Complaints and Fines towards political parties from ECAP

This infographic presents the progress and nature of the complaints sent to the Elections Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP), for all the phases of the electoral process.

In comparison with the parliamentary elections of 2014, in the 11th of June 2017 elections there is a noticeable increase in the complaints sent to the ECAP.

In the elections of 2014 there were 341 complaints sent to ECAP, while in 2017 there were 421 complaints.

An increasing trend in the elections of 2017 is also the fines given to the political parties, a total of 348,900 euros, in comparison with the elections of 2014, where the fines given to political parties was 86,700 euros.

From a total of 421 complaints sent to ECAP, 154 of them were made by the civil society organizations.
