Citizen’ perception on the job done by municipal mayors

01.11.2018

The infographic presents the results of the research done by Democracy for Development (D4D) about how much are Kosovo citizens satisfied with the municipal government, especially with the work done by the municipal mayors during the first 6 months, of the first year, of the mayor mandate.

The research indicated that 63.4 percent of the citizens are satisfied with the work done by the mayor during the first 6 months, of the first year of the mandate (depicted in the infographic with blue color).

Dissatisfied with he mayor work, for the same period of time, declared 30.6 percent of the citizens (depicted in the infographic with red color).

D4D will continue to monitor the municipalities for the services that they offer to their citizens, the citizen’ perception about the services and information that they get offered, as well as the opportunities offered to the citizens for participation in decision- and policy- making processes.

These are important factors for good governance and that need improvement because the D4D research also discovered that 32.8 percent of the citizens didn’t even try to contact their municipality.

The research was realized within the framework of “Increased participation for good governance” project, financially supported by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Kosovo and implemented by Democracy for Development institute (D4D) and Center for Kosovo Society Depolitization (CDKD).
